Beverly Municipal Airport War Memorial
The BAC built and dedicated a Vietnam War Memorial on June 21, 1997 to honor the nine young men from Beverly who died during the Vietnam War. The Memorial was rededicated August 4, 2001 by:
• Mayor William F. Scanlon • Beverly Veterans<92> Council
• Beverly Airport Commission • Beverly Vietnam Veterans
• VFW Post 545
The Memorial consists of a Vietnam War era US Army HUEY UH1-D Helicopter on a pedestal over a large black granite monument with the names, rank and military branch carved into the stone. We are proud to honor the sacrifice, dedication, and heroism of these nine young men, who served our country.
